Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is Makeart?

Makeart is a creative art studio designed for kids to explore, experiment, and express themselves through hands-on activities. We offer workshops, classes, and events that focus on play-based learning and artistic exploration.

2. What age groups do you serve?

We offer classes for toddlers (18 months+) all the way to adults. From Little Makers to grown-up creatives, there’s something for everyone.

3. Do I need to register in advance for classes?

Yes. To ensure we have enough space and materials, advance registration is required for both kids and adult classes. Walk-ins are only accepted if there's space.

4. Can parents stay during the class?

For younger kids (typically under 4), we encourage caregivers to stay and participate. Older children can usually attend independently while parents relax or run errands nearby.

5. What kind of adult classes do you offer?

Our adult workshops are perfect for beginners or seasoned creatives. They include painting, mixed media, seasonal crafts, creative nights, and more. Come solo, with friends, or book a private session!

6. What should we wear?

Art is messy and fun! We suggest wearing comfortable clothes that can get dirty. We provide aprons, but splashes and glitter have a mind of their own.

7. Where is MakeArt located?

We’re located in The Woodlands, Texas. Visit our contact page or check Google Maps for directions.

8. Do you host birthday parties or private events?

Yes! We host custom parties and private events for all ages – from kids' birthdays to adult paint nights. Reach out to plan something creative and memorable.

9. What kind of projects do you do in class?

Projects rotate weekly and include painting, collage, sculpture, building, activities, and more. We focus on process over perfection – letting creativity lead the way.

10. Is MakeArt just for kids?

Not at all! While we started with little artists in mind, we now offer workshops and experiences for adults, too. Creativity is for everyone.

11. Is MakeArt a licensed daycare?

MakeArt offers creative, drop-off art classes for kids. Since we’re an enrichment program (not a daycare), we’re exempt and not licensed by Child Care Regulation.

12. How can I stay updated?

Follow us on Instagram (@makeart.art), subscribe to our newsletter, or visit our website often. We’re always adding new sessions, pop-ups, and events!
